Maja Vujinovic is a seasoned global executive and pioneer at the intersection of fintech, blockchain, and AI. She got into mobile payments as early as 2005, building infrastructure across Africa and Latin America, then recognized Bitcoin’s potential in 2010 making her one of the earliest serious operators in the crypto space.
She spent time as CIO of Emerging Tech at General Electric, where she launched GE’s first blockchain initiatives and facilitated what’s considered one of the world’s first trade-finance deals on blockchain, a collaboration with JPMorgan that helped inspire JP Morgan Quorum and blockchain-as-a-service offerings from Microsoft and Amazon.
After GE, she ran OGroup, an early crypto and AI fund and advisory platform partnered with $4B+ in family office capital, investing in and operating 45+ companies. She’s now CEO of Digital Assets at FG Nexus.
A few things worth knowing going into the conversation:
She brings a rare geopolitical lens to digital assets, having lived in 16 places and worked across 5 continents
She’s deeply connected in both Wall Street and crypto-native circles, a genuine bridge between the two worlds
She’s a board member of Civic, Catalan.ai, CoinDesk, and the Longevity Science Foundation, signaling interests that overlap with your own, AI, digital assets, and longevity/biotech
She’s a law school graduate (Emory), so expect sharp, precise thinking
She speaks regularly at Davos, FII Institute, Blockworks DAS, and the FT Digital Assets Summit.
This is our live conversation with Maja.
